Al Sharq hospital – Fujairah in association with Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort- Dibba, organized a lecture titled “Female Cancer”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Anaam Majeed, Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynecology at Al Sharq Hospital. She spoke about three important female cancers ( breast cancer, cervical cancer & ovarian cancer), the lecturers initiated by explaining the definition of the three cancers and how it is the most common cancers among women. She also spoke about the most important reasons for the spread of this disease, one of them being sexual intercourse at an early age and family history. The activities aimed to provide people with the knowledge and tools needed for them to take charge of their health and to also increase awareness of the importance of early detection in saving lives.
