Al Sharq Hospital organized a Breast Cancer Awareness lecture at Century Mall – Fujairah on Thursday 15th October 2020. The aim of this awareness lecture, which was presented to the female employees, was to highlight the significant contribution of early diagnosis to the success of the treatment. During the lecture, Dr. Nalini Moka – Specialist General Surgeon spoke about the diagnosis procedures, symptoms, risk factors, and breast cancer stages. She also recommended that all attendees routinely perform breast self-exam which is a useful and important screening tool, especially when used in combination with regular physical exams by a doctor.
